about

'Don't Forget the Spaceship,' is a song written after watching the new clay animated movie 'The Little Prince'. Sam Rae channels her nostalgia for her childhood in both it's light and dark forms recalling how she used to hide in a cardboard spaceship in her country home amidst the spaciousness of the midwest. This track pinpoints a feeling of sadness that falls over her as she realizes that she has been tricked into being an adult and that the freedom and expansiveness of living in a child's mind is in the past.
