On February 15, 2014 Sam Rae recorded a live and improvised studio concert at Wind Over the Earth in Boulder, Colorado. The album, 'Stories From the Marrow,' is a collection of songs from that performance. As her music is dependent on the atmosphere, audience and sentiments she wishes to relay musically in any particular moment this album was inspired by her fresh explorations into the marrow of herself and the weight and freedom that comes with. Her intention is always to provide listeners with an opportunity to find their own language within the sounds of the cello and depth of each moment.
